When Napster came back from the dead as a pay site, the company had to regain their street cred. We wanted to show that even though the product was a little more adult, the brand was as rebellious as ever. So we made animated films featuring the logo as a character who'd rather have a good time in the music scene than walk the straight and narrow. We told the Napster story, from prison to parties, in an episodic web series. Back when the phrase "episodic web series" made people scratch their heads.
